Mickael realizes a surprising fact while going through a series of flash-backs...)연출의도. 영화의 주제는 죽음 이후의 세계입니다. 살아 있는 자중에 아무도 죽음을 경험하지 못한 바, 저는 이 모호한 세계에 대하여 영화적인 상상력으로 하나의 세계를 만들어 보려고 하였습니다. 제가 표현하고자 한 순간은 죽음과 삶 사이의 교차로를 주인공이 지나는 찰나입니다. 죽음 이후에는 죽음과 삶의 접경에 있는 세계가 있어, 그 곳에서 자기 스스로의 죽음을 기억을 통해 다시 의식하며 진정 생을 마친다는 영화적인 가정을 세웠습니다. 이런 이야기의 설정은 영화 특유의 시간과 공간을 생각하게 하고 실험하게 했습니다. (The theme of this film is the universe after death. No living man has ever experienced death. This film allowed me to represent this secret world with my artistic imagination. I was specifically interested in the transitory moment between life and death. I supposed that there's a transitory universe at the frontier of death where people are forced to remember how they died and to take conscience of their own death, to reach their definitive death. This structure of plot permitted me to explore and consider in detail time and space in film.)
